Here are some quick and simple experiments in photoshop in which me and molly did by simply taking screen shots from our video and mainly looking in to the typography as we know there CD covers are usually heavily influences by their font, size, colour etc, therefore tried to find one which we felt represented Chase and Status as a band as much as we could.

CD Cover Ideas
Today we started work into our digi pack and after researching into different drum and bass and chase and status album covers we discovered they are quite animated in the sense that it is rare to see an image which hasn't been heavily edited or distorted, it is most of the time about the typography and the colours surrounding it sometimes almost have markings in which connote the movement of the music and the rhythm within the beats.

Here is some ideas me and molly came up with for our CD cover however we are unsure as what to do at the moment and played around with layering in photoshop as we don't know how we would do a stereotypical digital image such as seen above.

Focus Group Responses To The Rough Cut Of Our Chase And Status' Music Video
Focus group on first video
person one's main comments: narrative is confusing at times; like letter boxing done but perhaps make the section chosen bigger so can see more of the fag being put out and perhaps lighten it so you can see more of what is going on; like the sped up scenes through london at night and going through the underground
person two's main comments: more of argument scene; shorten clips in pit gig to keep up with tempo of music; love how it starts and ends with chloe being upset.
person three's main comments: when fading harrison in, fully fade him in so you cant see so much of the date scene; really like the shot of harrison at the end where the camera goes from a stage light down to him singing on a block.
person four main comments: cut the pit rave in time with tempo; love the ending where chloe and harry are seen using a steady cam looking back on their relationship.
Person five main comments: like the fast cuts and drug scenes as well the feel of it being cheaply made as It fits to the steroeotypical way of looking at a conventional drum and bass music video.
Through these comments me and molly can now move on and improve more of our video to suit the target audience the most we can.
Uploading All Footage And Carrying On With Editing...
We have now managed to upload all of our footage and carry on with editing starting to finish our rough cut so we can start adding special effect.

Filming Complete!
Today we completed our filming and filmed Harry entering the pit and walking down the stairs into the pit, i believe we can now edit it as though he is entering the pit then go to the pit gig therefore it seems as though he is in it. Now we have time to carry on with our editing and our rough cut so we have time to add all the special effect we want to.
